Room Photos That Help Guests Choose a Month-Long Room

Published Oct 21, 2026

A guest booking two nights wants the bed to look good. A guest booking 30 nights wants to know where their life fits: the desk, the kitchenette, the closet, the laundry. Monthly-stay photos answer different questions, and most hotel galleries skip exactly the shots a long-stay guest looks for first.

The shots that matter

  • The whole room from the door, so the layout is obvious.
  • The desk and chair, close enough to judge a workday.
  • The kitchenette with doors open: fridge, cooktop, microwave, sink.
  • The bathroom, honest and well lit.
  • Storage: closet, drawers, luggage space. A month of clothes has to go somewhere.
  • The laundry room, if you have one. Few hotels show it; monthly guests ask.
  • Parking and the walk from car to door.
  • The view from the window of the actual room type, not the best corner suite.

Common mistakes

  • Only wide-angle glamour shots that hide the room's real size.
  • No photos of the kitchenette contents, so guests assume there are none.
  • Stock photos of a different property in the brand.
  • Showing the lobby and pool but never the desk, the closet or the laundry.
  • Dark or blurry phone photos where a bright, straight shot would do.

Practical basics

Shoot in daylight with the lights on, curtains open, bed made and counters cleared. Take each shot straight on, then one from the corner for depth. Order the gallery the way a monthly guest thinks: room, workspace, kitchenette, bathroom, storage, then the shared spaces like laundry, gym and breakfast, then the outside and parking.

Why it pays

A bad two-night choice is annoying; a bad month is expensive, so monthly guests study photos harder. A gallery that answers their real questions shortens the inquiry thread.
